Description
Iguratimod is an oral disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD).
It works by suppressing abnormal immune activity and reducing inflammation in joints.
Indications (Uses)

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA):

Reduces joint pain, swelling, and stiffness.

Slows disease progression and prevents joint damage.

Sometimes used as an add-on therapy with methotrexate or other DMARDs if response is inadequate.

Common Side Effects
Most are mild to moderate and improve over time:

Gastrointestinal: Nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhea.

Liver-related: Raised liver enzymes (requires monitoring).

Hematologic: Mild decrease in white blood cells or platelets.

Others: Headache, dizziness, fatigue, skin rash.
